Insurance
Insurance is a legal agreement, commonly referred to as a policy, in which an individual or entity obtains financial protection or reimbursement from an insurance company against certain types of losses. The fundamental purpose of insurance is to safeguard people and organizations from unexpected financial hardships that could arise from accidents, natural disasters, health issues, legal liabilities, or other unforeseen events. By paying a fee known as a premium, the insured party secures a promise from the insurer to compensate them according to the terms laid out in the policy if a covered loss occurs.
